Exclusive accommodation

We have renovated four houses with comfort and simplicity in mind. The houses are furnished with Gervasoni furniture, which provides for comfort. The aim of the houses is to create a sanctuary, a place that has all one needs for a few days in well earned balance. We provide the framework and have thought the details through and lit the candles and the wood burning fire before the guests arrive.

The Old Grocery Store
The Old Grocery Store is, as the name suggests, the property that was previously the local supply store for Vejrø. There is a large terrace along the south side of the house. From the terrace on the first floor it is possible to enjoy a spectacular view of fields, forests and the sea. The two bedrooms on the ground floor are both roomy and inviting - one of them with direct access to the terrace and the garden. There are two double rooms, two rooms with queen size beds as well as two toilets, one with a shower.

Dan's House
Dan's House is on the dirt road that leads from the harbour to the middle of Vejrø. Here you will find a house with old hedges around it and with a lovely big terrace; an enclosed part of the garden creates an opportunity for privacy. The house contains two double bedrooms.

The Old School
The Old School was a functioning school right up until 1956, when the island's last teacher moved from the island. The house has a beautiful bedroom with a view over the sea and the sunrise! Also, there are two terraces - one south-facing with an entrance from the living room, is a perfect place for a light summer lunch with a direct view of the beach. The other terrace lies undisturbed and with a view of the abandoned cemetery. The house contains one double room.

The Writers House
The Writer's house was once owned by the Maritime Safety Authority and was the home of the light-keeper's assistant. The Writer's House is one of the most secluded houses, tucked into a dense growth of hazel, blackberry, beech and well-established pear trees. It is just 100 metres down a little field path to the quiet, sandy beach. The house has a fantastic roof terrace with views of the fields, sea and the evening sun. There are two double rooms and one single.
